Through The Looking Glass
Through The Looking Glacce was an interactive art installation and performance selected for competition at First Friday Las Vegas in the downtown Arts District. Alexandria Lee and Torrey Cole conceptualized and created this work with their pop-up street art performance company Poptaart Productions. An old delivery truck was converted into a strange psychadelic land that audience could explore and became interactive when the performers/dancers put on a show every half hour. Consciousness At The Burrito Stand
Consciousness: the Mural at The Burrito stand was a 360 degree mural and interactive art installation for Downtown Project and the Life is Beautiful Festival on the historic Fremont Street in Downtown Las Vegas. Conceptualized, created and painted by Alexandria Lee in collaboration with three-dimensional designer for the interior by Christopher Kachurak. This piece explored the ideas of Mother Nature and Mother Technology and what it means for us moving forward in the chaos of the Information Age as we progress to the Intuition Age. A kaleidoscope of lights in the forms of a branching tree come alive at night and play along with the piano. The street piano adjoined to the mural was there for anyone off the streets to play so that they may become apart of the piece.
Invasion Erosion 1.0 & 2.0
Invasion Erosion 1.0 was an interactive art installation for Emergency Arts Gallery included in Alexandria’s solo show there. The project address the themes of government surveillance of the public in America. When the phone is picked up lights and pre-recorded sounds are activated, and a the television screen turns on revealing a live video of the participant revealing they have been being recorded by a camera hidden in the eye of a painting. No Expressionism At The Berlin Wall
No Expression! at The Berlin Wall was a pop-up street art and performance art in Berlin Germany with Alexandria Lee and Torrey Cole’s pop-up street art performance company Poptaart Productions. Conceptualized, filmed and created by Alexandria Lee with choreography and performance by Torrey Cole. This project was a nod to the German Expressionists of early 20th century by which Alexandria has been deeply influenced.
The Trap
The Trap is a film by Destiny Faith Nelson for which she won Nevada Women’s Filmmaker of the year. The Trap is about an intelligent, inner-city high-school basketball star who has dreams beyond his surroundings, but when those who are close to him are threatened with the heat from the streets, he must make decisions that may jeopardize his own future.
